“Il chiosco”

Olga ha un piccolo chiosco di giornali e snack.
Il chiosco sembra costruito intorno a lei, è la sua casa, la sua finestra sul mondo.
Attraverso i vetri del suo piccolo chiosco ormai conosce tutti i suoi clienti: chi acquista il quotidiano, chi affida il suo cuore alle riviste femminili, chi legge solo l’oroscopo, chi vuole soltanto chiacchierare, chi compra una bottiglietta d’acqua tutti i giorni alle 10:35.
Il mondo scorre veloce fuori dal chiosco di Olga e lei, che ci vive anche dentro, la sera si abbandona ai sogni, sfoglia le sue riviste di viaggio e sogna meravigliosi tramonti sul mare.
Olga ormai è un tutt’uno con il suo chiosco e si identifica così, anche se non è felice.
Un giorno però una consegna un po’ frettolosa costringe Olga ad uscire dal chiosco per raccogliere i giornali ma… resta incastrata! Così il chiosco si stacca da terra con lei dentro!
Olga si accorge che può sollevarlo e fare due passi, per la prima volta dopo tanto tempo.
Olga cammina allegra per la città con il suo vestito/chiosco e tutti si fermano a guardare quella piccola costruzione con le gambe che va a spasso, e poi inciampa e cade nel fiume, e il fiume la porta fino al mare…
Un racconto poetico immerso dentro illustrazioni che sembrano quadri e che racconta quello che succede quando si smette di sognare e si comincia a VIVERE!
Olga compie gli stessi gesti da sempre, il chiosco è la sua “comfort zone” (oggi si dice così), sogna di poter viaggiare, di vedere splendidi tramonti, ma i suoi sogni rimangono incastrati fra le pagine delle riviste di viaggio. Si è creata un piccolo mondo perfetto dal quale non esce nemmeno più, perché Olga ha arredato il suo chiosco come una casa e ci vive dentro, ma è un posto troppo piccolo per contenere tutti i suoi sogni.
Solo un imprevisto può portare Olga dove vuole veramente stare (ovviamente insieme al suo chiosco).
Un libro incredibilmente poetico, una piccola opera d’arte che vi farà venire voglia di inseguire i vostri sogni.
Questo libro è ispirato al cortometraggio di animazione di Anete Melece (illustratrice e animatrice lettone) “The kiosk” (il link qui sotto), che ha ricevuto riconoscimenti in tutto il mondo.
