Un bellissimo silent book che ci mostra il “dentro e il fuori” cambiando semplicemente il punto di vista.
Tantissime immagini bidimensionali e coloratissime che raccontano una storia.
L’enorme caverna piena di meravigliosi cristalli, vista da fiori è un buco molto piccolo.
Fuori dalla torre del castello c’è il mondo intero e, dentro la torre, una corda ci suggerisce che qualcuno è evaso per godersi quello spettacolo.
Il formichiere vede il formicaio in maniera diversa da come lo vediamo noi, che invece possiamo ammirarne l’interno con una precisa sezione.
Dentro alla barca a vela la tempesta rovescia tutto, mentre vista da fuori è un insieme di onde e nuvole burrascose.
Il mondo marino osservato da un oblò è circoscritto dentro un cerchio, ma fuori è uno spettacolo meraviglioso!
Dentro l’alveare le api sono in fermento, ma fuori è una tranquilla giornata di primavera rallegrata da decine di fiori.
In un libro per ragazzi poi non può sicuramente mancare un naufrago nella pancia di una balena.
Tante differenze si possono scovare fra il dentro e il fuori, ma tanti dettagli (se sappiamo osservare bene) affiorano lentamente dallo sfondo raccontando un’altra storia. Alcune scene poi sono collegate con le immagini successive, anche la pagina viola all’inizio del libro (che poi ritroviamo alla fine) non è casuale.
Un libro che non parla ma che ha moltissimo da dire, tantissime storie da raccontare e tanti collegamenti fra le immagini da incastrare.
Un libro che può essere sfogliato, o utilizzato per costruire delle storie o, ancora, per organizzare delle cacce al tesoro, scoprire quali immagini si ripetono o se ci sono delle connessioni fra i disegni.
Un’opera elegante che non smetterà mai di stupirvi.
